><p>Gedenksteen van natuursteen en baksteen met drie wapenschilden en de jaartallen 1940&#8211;1945, onthuld in 1953 en ontworpen door ir. M.C.A. Meischke.<\/p>\n<p>De steen is ruim anderhalve meter hoog en drie meter breed, en draagt behalve de wapenschilden ook een tekst die de bevrijding po\u00ebtisch verbeeldt met golven, wateren en een vredesduif die na de storm eindelijk een rustplaats vindt.
