zwerfkei met de tekst \u201cGedenk de vrijheid\u201d. De kei is ruim een meter hoog en tachtig centimeter breed en draagt een bronzen gedenkplaatje.<\/p>\n<p>Het monument werd op 4 mei 1995 onthuld door burgemeester D. Boonstra, ter gelegenheid van vijftig jaar bevrijding. De tekst op de plaquette herdenkt niet alleen de bevrijdingsstrijd, maar noemt ook expliciet de jodenvervolging en de concentratiekampen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens de Oorlogsgravenstichting zijn er tot nu toe geen specifieke oorlogsslachtoffers formeel aan dit monument gekoppeld in hun database.
