herdenking van 15 augustus eerder dat jaar, waarbij voor het eerst officieel werd stilgestaan bij de Melissantse slachtoffers van de oorlog in Nederlands-Indi\u00eb. Het paneel toont namen en foto&#8217;s van de negen omgekomen dorpsgenoten; hun achtergrond loopt uiteen van burgerslachtoffers en verzetsstrijders tot een ge\u00ebxecuteerde man, een RAF-vlieger en militairen, met doodsoorzaken van concentratiekampen tot de scheepsramp met de Cap Arcona en gevangenschap in Nederlands-Indi\u00eb.
